From December 1st 2011 Melbournes Water Restrictions will move to Stage 1 (previously Stage 2).
 
Water Restrictions are managed by Victoria's urban water corporations. While all restriction policies are based on the uniform guidelines there may be some variations in the details to account for local conditions. Please check with your local water corporation. Restrictions only apply to people on a reticulated supply. These restrictions do not apply to those using rainwater or bore water. The water tank rebates depend upon the capacity of the tank and whether its used for garden use and/or toilet/laundry use. In Melbourne, you may be eligible for both a Federal Government Rebate and/or a Victorian Government Rebate.

Important Note - End of Rebate lodgement was 11th November 2011.
 
 
Applications for rebate must have been received by the Department of Sustainability, Environment, Water, Population and Communities by 10 November 2011 from householders  for tanks or greywater systems that were purchased on or before 10 May 2011.
